The Laboratory for Technology, Communication and Democracy (TeCD-Lab) at the University of California, Riverside was founded in 2019 to design and develop communication technology that makes democracy more robust, responsive and resilient.
Our main project is Prytaneum, which is a novel webinar platform that enables the webinar speaker and audience express their perspectives and understand each other simultaneously, even when the audience scales to a large number of participants. Prytaneum uniquely solves the problem of "many-to-one" communication, which occurs whenever a speaker wishes to understand the perspectives an audience during a synchronous meeting.
Prytaneum
The TeCD-Lab is pleased to announce the Prytaneum — an open source webinar platform designed to make synchronous, speaker-led meetings more constructive, more inclusive, and more informative.
